I like the colors for the most part, but they get a little muddy in some areas, like the jawline and ear. Making the jawline a little more purpleish (or even blue) and the ear a big more reddish would help.

The hexagonal shapes look great, especially the effect they have over the skin.

The hair looks more like...I don't know, fur maybe to me. I think it's the brush you used.

As far as the initial outlines go...if you've done them in a different layer, try locking the layer opacity, then going over it with a brush that's a similar color to the skin/hair/adjacent stuff (or remove the outline layer and make the very edges of the skin a darker tone). However I think the bits of visible outlines here and there work well with the more loose coloring style.
